We are happy to announce that Unilever has joined our Roadmap on Living Wages.
In a platform with 15 leading companies, sustainability standards and certifications, we are developing solutions for measuring and closing living wage gaps. The Roadmap aims to strengthen international alignment and ensure the adoption of an uniform approach regarding living wages.
Unilever will join the Roadmap’s steering committee. Other steering committee members include the retailers Axfood, Sainsbury’s, Rewe Group, Tesco, Metro, Aldi North, Aldi South, and companies such as Fyffes, Dole and Afriflora.
With their Living Wage initiative, IDH is driving thoughtful and strategic action for the eradication of poverty and the promotion of responsible and sustainable business. I am delighted to be joining the IDH Living Wage Steering Committee representing Unilever. It provides the opportunity to address roadblocks, share and learn from good practice as well as set up mechanisms leading to reaching a Living Wage and Living Income in global supply chains.
